Entrepreneur, Gareth Pugh, a former Executive Chef on “The Georgian” a luxury River Boat plying between Windsor and Maidenhead on the River Thames where the onboard catering delivered superb dinners and buffet food to the clientele while cruising this picturesque stretch of the River Thames.
Gareth and wife Katherine decided to move back up north from whence Gareth hails, to the UK’s Lake District for a change of Lifestyle and scenery. Following the search for housing and schooling, Gareth found that the local community did not have a Bakery.
Pugh said: “That really got me thinking. Here we are living in the local Vicarage and attending St Anne’s Church Haverthwaite, so what better name for the new business than St Anne’s Bakery.”
Pugh‘s , St Anne’s Bakery, will Provide quality Bread, Confectionery, Biscuits and Afternoon Teas to Local Residents and visitors to the quiet and beautiful area of South Lakeland.
“This is just the start,” said Pugh. “Once we have settled we will be moving into quality Afternoon Teas and Buffet lunches for homes and businesses in the area.”
Gareth went on to say: “It is clear that times are changing and to attract attention to a new business and brand, we realised that the owner needs to promote their business but also to promote themselves as a strong brand. And that is what we are doing. I had noticed that a number of Large Brands were losing favour with many customers who were now preferring to deal with people they could get to know and trust rather than a distant faceless brand. The Excellent Quality of Craft Bakery Products is also going through a significant rise so that was that!”
Katherine Pugh added: “The demand for Pugh’s Home Cooked Quality Produce is growing due to the recent media coverage, and St Anne’s Bakery will service that need locally and further afield. Initial feedback has been fantastic, we couldn’t ask for a better start in such a lovely area of the UK.”
