On a recent episode of Influencers Radio with Jack Mize, Virtual Fitness & Nutrition Coach Michelle Renae discussed how shifting from a mindset of high expectations to creating small sustainable habits can be the difference in long-term weight loss and fitness success.
Working in the corporate world as a Finance Manager for over 25 years, Michelle understands how easy it is for busy professionals to let their fitness goals move to the bottom of that never-ending to-do list.
Like so many others, Michelle has ridden a roller-coaster of health throughout her life. In the past, she has taken an all or nothing approach to fitness and nutrition. She has had successes that often led to failures simply because she prioritized that aspect of her life too heavily, neglecting others, resulting in unsustainable habits.
During the interview, Michelle explained the roller-coaster of health, saying, “We have this natural need to be all in or out. And that can be a great thing because we have this high motivation to be successful. We nail it, and then life steps in, and we lose it. And then we start it again, and we lose it again.”
Describing how this impacts not only the way we look but how we feel as well, Michelle said, “…whenever you’re on that low point of the roller coaster, where you’re not eating well, you’re not exercising, you feel insecure generally, and things seem to be going wrong more in your life… versus when you’re on that upswing, your motivation is there…you feel like you can tackle anything.”
In 2018, Michelle discovered the FASTer Way to Fat Loss. The virtual health and fitness program not only delivered physical results but also shifted her mindset and gave her a newfound sense of empowerment, which inspired her to become a Certified FASTer Way to Fat loss Coach to impact others in a similar way.
Today, Michelle Renae works with busy professionals to incorporate small and sustainable strategies for successfully creating new healthy habits that make significant changes.
