As the National Day of Prayer approaches on Thursday, May 6th, Christians across the country are reminded why prayer is so impactful and the power that it brings when we come together in unity as the body of Christ! Medi-Share, America’s leading health care sharing ministry invites communities across the country to join their Facebook premiere event to pray for our families, churches, education system, military, workplace, government and media.
Medi-Share employees are participating in a prayer walk as they pray over the nation. Some will be walking around the ministry building while others will be walking in their neighborhoods. Medi-Share is encouraging others to watch the Facebook premiere event for prayer guidance or to request prayer with the option of making it a prayer walk in their own communities.
“We already have a culture of prayer at Medi-Share and understand the Lord is near to all who call upon Him. We acknowledge our need for His presence in our lives and in the lives of the Members we serve. Time and time again, God responds to our pleas for His intervention. The National Day of Prayer is an opportunity to unite with other Believers in the same kind of prayer for our nation as we ask, Lord, pour out your love, life and liberty upon us.”- Cindi Killen, Medi-Share Chaplain
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. Every President since 1952 has signed a National Day of Prayer proclamation. It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds to mobilize communities to intercede for America’s leaders and its families.
Excerpt from the National Prayer:
We pray that America will be united in love to serve You with all our hearts, all our ways, and all of our days. Unite us to pray, love; to live and walk by the Spirit. Conform and transform us as we pray and proclaim, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” -2 Corinthians 3:17
