Modern Skills Launches Nationwide to Train the Next Generation of Social Coaches Using Evidence-Based ABA and ACT Approaches

FOLSOM, CALIFORNIA – April 2, 2025 – Modern Skills, a new online training platform, officially launched today to offer comprehensive certification and curriculum support for professionals working in social coaching, behavioral therapy, and life skills education. Built on the foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Modern Skills provides a self-paced certification course along with immediate access to a growing library of more than 600 plug-and-play social skills programs designed for clients of all ages—from preschool through adulthood.

“We created Modern Skills to solve a major challenge in the field,” said Christine Benedetti-Middleton, BCBA, founder of Modern Skills. “Too many educators, clinicians, and behavior specialists are left without practical, evidence-based tools to teach real-world social skills. Modern Skills delivers both the training and the curriculum so providers can make a lasting impact without spending hours planning each session.”

The platform includes a complete social coaching certification, 600+ BST-based (Behavior Skills Training) lessons, structured teaching plans with modeling and role-play, and monthly content updates organized by age and skill level. Designed for ABA therapists, behavior technicians, school counselors, transition coaches, and private clinicians, Modern Skills equips professionals to run effective social skills groups, 1:1 coaching sessions, and community-based interventions.

A professional community space is also in development and will soon give subscribers access to a network of certified coaches and providers for collaboration, mentorship, and ongoing development.

For $495 per month, subscribers receive full certification training, ongoing access to the program library, and regular content drops. In most cases, providers can recoup the cost of their subscription by billing for a single weekly group using standard group therapy CPT codes. With average reimbursements around $60 per participant per session, a 6–8 person group can generate $1,400–$1,900 per month in revenue.

Early education programs, adult transition centers, and independent ABA clinics nationwide are already adopting Modern Skills. The program’s flexibility, age-span, and plug-and-play design make it ideal for professionals looking to improve client outcomes while expanding the services they offer.

Modern Skills is headquartered in California and committed to helping social coaches and behavioral providers grow their practice, build professional confidence, and support meaningful social development in the lives of others.
